ONEONONE
Monroe Litho Gets Social with New Project
Monroe Litho, a leader nationally in environmentally sustainable printing, is teaming with Kodak and Mohawk Fine Papers to utilize Twitter to tell the story of the printing of a publication from original design concept to printed completion and distribution. The project dubbed “OneOnOne” will utilize video, photographs and interviews posted on Twitter (twitter.com/monroelitho) to follow the printing of Kodak’s “One Magazine”.

An inside view on what makes a cover story

Lets hear from ONE writer, Keith Hevenor

As we develop the content for each issue of ONE magazine, we have team meetings to determine the most relevant and timely topics based on trends in the market and new products or solutions available from Kodak. We then look at which Kodak customers have interesting stories to tell and valuable advice to offer. And we try to put this all together in a way that will have broad appeal for an international audience.

The cover story is typically more business focused, offering insights on how a reader can grow or expand, and how the nature of the market is affecting a typical reader’s business. By identifying the latest opportunities—whether that be digital printing, personalization, process efficiency, or something else—we can write the story in a way that explains the opportunity and shows how some businesses are successfully capitalizing on it. We try to use quotes from industry experts as well as customers to support the topic and lend outside perspective to the article idea.

The cover story in this issue of ONE focuses on how businesses can expand beyond traditional printing and offer new services that open doors to new revenue and growth opportunities. Because the technology today makes it possible to approach the needs of clients in new ways, printers must learn how to use the tools more effectively. And printers must learn to look beyond their traditional client base, offering new digital services to marketers, publishers, packagers, and others. The cover story shows readers how to add value and enhance profitability.
